Getting involved in pro bono and community work at A&O gives people the chance to share their knowledge and experience on both large multi-jurisdictional projects, and the local projects run by individual offices. Regardless of location, we try to create opportunities to use the skills of our people in the most effective ways, ensuring that our work has a positive impact on our pro bono clients. We partner with a wide range of organizations, and collaborate with other law firms to consider the broader issues related to our pro bono efforts. |
What are some of the areas in which your organization has performed pro bono work in the past year? |
Much of our pro bono work spans the Human Rights, Civil Rights, Forcible Displacement and Social Finance arenas. During the past year, our lawyers have worked on projects relating to, among many other areas: Afghanistan refugees, voting rights and racial equity, criminal justice, girls’ education and the criminalization of torture, on the basis of LQBTQ+ status. |
