Akin's parental leave policy provides lawyers with up to twenty (20) weeks of paid leave for the bonding after a birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child. New parents may take up to ten twelve (12) weeks paid parental leave. In addition, birth mothers are provided eight weeks of paid medical disability leave. The firm’s family care leave policy provides lawyers with up to four (4) weeks of paid leave every 24 months for the care of a qualifying family member with a serious medical condition. |
